Cosplay is more than just "playing dress-up."

I am a self - taught cosplayer  who has a day job as an accountant and manages a website called 

GeeksAGogo.com in my spare time.

In the past few years, I have competed in world renowned competitions such as C2E2 Crown Championship of Cosplay as well as Gen Con and I have won many awards. Check out my list of awards below.

I have cosplayed characters for Cool Mini or Not as well as Raging Heroes - companies that have games which I am a huge fan of. I created both Arthenya VI (Raging Heroes) and Phoenix Monster (Rising Sun Game for CMON Games) as a fan cosplay. I reached out to both companies to provide me with the character designs and it took me  7 and 5 months, respectively, to finish both characters.

For the short amount of time I have created cosplay that was incredibly detailed with a great mix of my skills in sewing, armor making, electronics and make up application.

The best part about all my achievements in cosplay is that younger women and little girls see me as an inspiration and a good role model. I always aim to be a positive impact in the cosplay community. Cosplaying is a safe space. And everyone should enjoy being creative through this craft.

My work has impressed a lot of media outlets, thus garnering me a feature in the Chicago Tribune. Not only was I recognized for my talent, but also for my passion in this craft.
